Procurement Lead (Pairs)

Full Job Description

Role Purpose 

Support Tendering and Projects execution within Procurement function, by implementing procurement plan and appropriate vendor selection. Own compliance with Enshore process and procedures during project (CAPEX or EPCI) projects.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility 

Operations 

  • Prepare, maintain and proactively manage procurement plan for tenders and projects.
  • Ensure supply chain tenders are executed according to process; RFI, RFQ, e-sourcing etc.
  • Prepare and lead negotiations with suppliers.
  • Secure timely, efficient and cost-effective sourcing and negotiation activities.
  • Ensure the optimum commercial and contractual position is negotiated, achieved and maintained.
  • Ensure suppliers are selected based on core values, policies and HSEQ policy standards consistent with ENS Ensure systems are updated and new suppliers are correctly registered.

Supply Chain Management 

  • Maintain and update working files on approved suppliers, including monitoring performance and non-conformances cases.

Procurement Process

  • Ensure the Procurement and Supply Chain Department capitalises from lessons learned and proactively contributes to other functions in the continuous improvement of the processes.
  • Support on various ongoing improvement initiatives within the Procurement and Supply Chain Department.

 

Key Tasks 

  • Implement Procurement methodology.
  • Implement Sourcing strategies to support corporate objectives, providing the Company competitive advantage
  • Qualification of suppliers and on-going maintenance of Approved (Preferred) Suppliers.
  • Negotiate and maintain long-term partnerships with key suppliers to foster feedback and continuous improvement and optimisation of supplier performance.
  • Run Risk analyses to establish security of future supplies.
  • Run Strategic Analysis: Spend, markets and geographic considerations etc.
  • Support pricing at Tender stage.
  • Develop plans and schedules for the achievement of procurement system

  • Procurement and supply chain procedures, standards and systems are implemented, adhered to and continually reviewed to take into account lessons learnt, development in technology and industry best practice.
  • Culture of responsibility with accountability and ethos of continuous improvement exists throughout the supply team.
  • Compliance with procurement budget.
  • Compliance with safety standards, regulatory and statutory bodies, company procedures, practices and protocols.
  • All suppliers & sub-contractors engaged are suitably qualified and approved.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications 

  • Degree (or relevant work experience)
  • CIPS Qualification or equivalent

 

Desirable Qualifications or Equivalent Experience 

  • Professional body membership

 

Demonstrable Experience Specific to Role

  • Experience of leading project procurement
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Experience of a global project buying environment.
  • Procurement experience in multi-project, engineering environment.
  • Commercial acumen.
