OWNE 2022 – SIX KEY THEMES…

At OWNE 2022 this week, we’ll be talking to industry colleagues who, like us, are determined to effect sustainable, accelerated delivery for the offshore wind sector.

Skills are a focus, but efficiency is the key. That’s why the event’s overarching Six Key Themes are an excellent framework for partners who want to explore their compatibility.

  • Theme 1 – Projects (UK & Global)

We’re determined to surface greater technical efficiencies for projects in both the long- and short-term – efficiencies that can benefit the whole subsea sector. Many programmes that are still in the planning phase must now consider an accelerated timeline, against the backdrop of renewed emphasis on climate considerations. Enshore is a partner that can offer flexiblity, throughout.

  • Theme 2 – Supply Chain & Procurement Opportunities

As an experienced technical services’ contractor, and a provider of front-line subsea service delivery to key installations worldwide, we’re always interested in enriching our own understanding of procurement efficiency. We ask our partners – what is the most helpful approach, how can the offshore wind supply chain help itself to become more effective at recognising technical excellence and good value?

  • Theme 3 – Innovation

Enshore is in a unique position. We can offer our clients many years of shallow and deep water infrastructure experience, which lets us identify the spaces in a project programme for innovation to flourish. At OWNE 2022, we’ll be talking to colleagues about the in-house developments to trenching, survey, and clearance equipment that are bringing down the cost of subsea intervention, without cutting corners.

  • Theme 4 – Skills

The North East is a hotbed of talent for the offshore wind sector, but there’s still a skills’ shortage within the industry. We’re always interested in hearing from other colleagues about working in partnership – developing that talent, early on. Our JETS (Junior Equipment Technician Scheme) is a three year, hands-on introduction to working in the industry, and already attracts great interest. At OWNE 2022, we’ll be talking to colleagues about their own programmes, and how we can exchange specialist technical insights for the benefit of the industry overall.

  • Theme 5 – Floating Offshore Wind

As the hosts of this year’s Cables 2022 Business Leaders Dinner, in October, we can attest to the fact that the Floating Offshore Wind & Cables 2022 event was a hive of activity. If we’re going to meet increasing demands for renewable energy, then better connections for those hybrid solutions must be developed in collaboration.

  • Theme 6 – Logistics & Infrastructure

The Net Zero Strategy set out how the UK should deliver on its commitment to reach net zero emissions by 2050, but specifics around the necessary logistics and infrastructure are a moving feast. For the offshore wind sector, there has to be a focus on more efficient planning – seeing our local deployment and capability, here in the North East, as an ecosystem of innovation.

Events like OWNE 2022 give us all a great opportunity to develop productive new partnerships: collaborative relationships that can target high quality programme planning – early programme planning – and deliver efficiency into the offshore wind supply chain.

We look forward to seeing you at OWNE 2022. If you’d like to learn more about how we’re tackling all six OWNE 2022 themes within our own proposition – drop us a line…
