EPCI Project Update: CMOS Installer Arrives in Senegal with Cable Consignment
The CMOS Installer DP2 cable lay vessel has arrived in Senegal with a subsea cable consignment ready for our ongoing EPCI project.
On May 31st this year the CMOS Installer DP2 cable lay vessel 🚢, owned in joint venture between Enshore Subsea and Herbosch-Kiere, collected a shipment of 31 km of 225 kV subsea cable from LS Cable & System‘s Donghae shipyard in South Korea.
122 days later, on September 30th, the CMOS Installer arrived at the Bay of Dakar in Senegal. Here the cable will be used to provide an underwater link across the bay, from Rive Bel Air to Cap Des Biches, for client MCA-Sénégal II for the Senegal Power Compact submarine cable project.
The Senegal Power Compact submarine cable project is Enshore Subsea’s ongoing EPCI project, in partnership with Herbosch-Kiere, with delivery from the Dakar Marine Link team–a project delivery joint venture between Enshore Subsea and Herbosch-Kiere. Stay tuned for more updates coming soon.
The Senegal Power Compact is a grant agreement between Senegal and the United States of America, managed between MCA-Sénégal II and the Millennium Challenge Corporation, an independent US government development agency.
