Enshore Advantage is a specialist shallow draft barge designed for nearshore and inshore cable lay and marine support operations.
The barge is built of light construction with a large displaced volume which enables it to approach very close to shore, and ground out where necessary to assist with nearshore operations.
The Enshore Advantage also has a cable lay spread suitable for laying bundled HVDC cables. There is also a mooring system and spuds for positioning and an accommodation module to reduce crew transfers whilst at sea.
The cable-handling system comprises four independent firing lines, each equipped with electrohydraulic and electrical drive machinery controlled by a distributed PLC and HMI architecture with synchronised, master, and three slave system.
