EPCI Project Update: Senegal Power Compact Project Milestone

Last week the Enshore Subsea and Herbosch-Kiere teams celebrated a milestone of completing the seabed CPT (cone penetration test) in the Bay of Dakar off the coast of Senegal for the Senegal Power Compact Project.

CPT’s are used to determine the geotechnical engineering properties of soils and provides background information for the cable installation and trenching works. The process showcases the symbiotic nature of deck work and data processing.

The two 17.5 km trenches for the 225 kV cable links in Dakar are for client MCA-Sénégal II for the Senegal Power Compact submarine cable project.
